Teacher training programs
in East Asian Studies

The Faculty of East Asian Studies offers the two Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree programs Chinese and Japanese.

Prerequisite for the enrollment in the M.Ed. are:

• a B.A. degree in Sinology or Japanese Studies and another school subject, which must be a core subject (core subjects and subject combinations here)
• Teacher training-specific courses in the Optionalbereich
• an internship

Find out about the admission requirements and the examination regulations with the subject-specific provisions. Chinese or Japanese can also be studied as a third subject. If you have any questions about studying to become a teacher in general, please contact the counselling service at the Professional School of Education.
